Cirque Litter

I used to joke about what a circus it was getting this litter planned and then bred, and then born (Tassja wanted to hold onto them a bit longer). In keeping with this idea, I chose the Cirque du Soleil as the theme for pup names. The Cirque du Soleil is an art form that I admire greatly - so stylish, elegant and agile. And for me, the Borzoi breed is about as "artsy" as a dog can get with it's beautiful flowing lines and the desired unmistakable elegance packed into an agile runner. How humorous that during the week as I awaited their birth, that a cable channel was running all the Cirque du Soleil shows nightly, and that they appeared on tour in Dallas the weekend that we began our "puppy watch".

The pictures below are of the pups at the age of 5 and 6 weeks. After the experience of trying to take these pics, we have come to the conclusion that there's a lot of their "granny" Nikki in them - they're stubborn little cusses!
